A Few of Our Favorite Brands from #AgendaShow Long Beach

We had the opportunity to visit the Agenda Show in Long Beach, a diverse and creative lifestyle fashion trade show that curates a collection of  forward-thinking, creative brands.  Here are a few of our favorites from the show!

We immediately gravitated toward the Starfysh Wetsuit booth as we saw the gorgeous neoprene wetsuit patterns. Who does not love a beautifully crafted wetsuit??! But, what really stood out is the innovation behind these suits. All are reversible and intended to be layered. So instead of buying a long-jane and a shorty and a rashie, their ensemble suits have removable arms and legs to provide all the coverage (or lack-of) that you need for any session! Founded by water woman and designer, Alyx Tortorice and the help of production manager and co-owner, Madeline Javier, Starfysh Wetsuits strives to pave the way in the surfing industry.

Poolhouse LA, a lifestyle brand based out of sunny California, puts quality design first. Poolhouse LA was started by small group of friends who were looking to make something different. This collective pulls inspiration from the city of Los Angeles, fashion, art, music, and tacos (in that order). While touring the show, we really noticed this group's energy and excitement. After meeting the founders, we completely understand the fun-loving nature of their products and vision.

3. Hard Work

Victoria Viletto is a badass. We were blown away as she told us about how each piece of Hard Work Jewelry is HANDCRAFTED by her in Santa Barbara, California. Yes, you read that correctly. Victoria studied Fine Arts with a concentration in Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and hand fabricates every piece in her collection. In her own words, "Hard Work communicates an appreciation for straightforward, simple, and wearable design."

It was so refreshing to stumble upon Patch Ya Later's incredible layout of fun, retro patches. Some of our favorites included the "Always a Lady" and, of course, "Girl Power" patches. They also gave out sewing-kit business cards - how rad is that!

Slate Swim = simple + gorgeous bikinis. These bathing suits are so beautifully designed with an Italian Lycra fabric to provide ultra-comfortable, seamless suits. Jessica Liao runs and designs Slate Swim in Los Angeles, California "with clean lines, a minimalistic style, high cuts, and a neutral color palette to create timeless swimwear."

If you love playful patterns, then you will adore Femi Stories. Founded by sisters Kamila and Anita Nawarkiewicz, the Femi Stories collection is full of vibrant colors, crazy patterns and lots of comfort. Just to give you an idea...you can even shop by print on their website! Cosmos, night sky, palawa flora camo...take your pick!
